If you're used to extensive wine lists, innovative cooking, and excellent service, you might normally feel a little lost in Providence, RI. Cafe' Nuovo is an oasis for those who appreciate excellent food and aren't worried about what it costs. For those who think it's `overrated,` try ordering something besides the water and soda crackers - otherwise go eat at the mall and leave the table open for those of us who appreciate quality. A well placed gratuity gets you an excellent seat to enjoy `Waterfire.` Plenty of vegetarian selections, and healthy entree portions. The mousse served in a chocolate pot is an excellent treat for dessert. The wine list has a quality selection of 97 Pinots and Cabs, with some nice availability of sparkling wines and Champagne. We begged the owner to come open a location in Southern California. Until then, we'll have something to look forward to when we go back to Providence.
